Chapter Philanthropy

"To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand..."

Philanthropy has always been an important aspect of the Phi Mu mission. Having the ability to serve and give back is incredible and we take full advantage of this opportunity. Phi Mu Fraternity's national philanthropy is Children's Miracle Network ("CMN"). The Kappa Chi Chapter of Phi Mu supports CMN locally through Birmingham Children's Hospital. Each year we do a variety of things for the children in the hospital, as well as organize fundraisers in order to make contributions to the Children's Miracle Network organization. During recruitment, we spend time together making cards and crafts for the children with special messages inside.

CMN- the alliance of premier hospitals for children - is a non profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals all over North America. There are 170 CMN hospitals and each year they help millions of children overcome diseases and injuries of every kind. To learn more, visitwww.cmn.org

This past year we hosted Karaoke For The Kids, Pie-a-PhiMu, and a Grandslam Tournament in order to raise money. All proceeds go to Children's Miracle Network, where we can benefit our own Children's Hospitals in Birmingham. We are excited to host more events like this in the coming fall and spring semesters.
